Somewhere in the middle of the sea, there is a mysterious island that rolls over from top to bottom, and from bottom to top. The rolling is slow but never stops. The island inhabitants, not knowing anything different, accept this as the way of the world. They simply keep moving far from the shore to avoid falling off the island. A small inconvenience. But small inconveniences can have big effects. Such is the case for this strange island, which has become the only home to an advanced society of birds and horses. These birds and horses share a town on wheels (for easy towing) and pair up to work modern jobs as partners. Bird-horse doctors provide the treatments, bird-horse detectives find the clues, bird-horse florists make the bouquets, and so on. On Bird-Horse Island, this is the way of the world! This year, there are two young graduates from Bird School and Horse School who don’t want to pair up. What can be done with these misfits who refuse the way of the world?
